done by Carlee @ Capital Tattoo in Charlottesville, VA This is my first, but not last tattoo. Several years ago I was diagnosed with a combination of bi-polar, depression and an anxiety disorder. My anxiety disorder was so bad my panic attacks would turn into seizures while at the same time I would hallucinate. The doctors couldnt diagnose me with any sort of seizure disorder because they were not epileptic seizures. So they prescribed some pretty heavy dosages of medicine and random pills. I felt damaged, crazy and worthless as if no one would ever want me. Through all this my mom (at the time) was dieing from breast cancer. It was a time in which I was having to grow up and become a woman when my mom could not be there for the family but at the same time accept myself for all my differences and uniqueness. It was such a growing process. SO the peacock feather is a symbol of me being proud of my differences, embracing them and not being scared to show off my colorful fe
