My New Tattoo
I got a new tattoo done on 5 November. It's an armband with a circular focal point on the outside and a band wrapping around the arm. The circular motif is a 'thundermark', a symbol of the ancient Ukrainian god of thunder, Perun - still used as a carving in ceiling beams to protect against lightning in rural Ukraine. The band is based on a Ukrainian embroidery design from the Carpathian mountains. It's only half done. Six hours in the chair was enough for one sitting!
