My new tattoo -- a Zia. A traditional Native America symbol which originated with the Indians of Zia Pueblo. To the Indian, the sacred number is embodied in the earth, with its four directions; in the year, with its four seasons; in the day, with sunrise, noon, evening and night; in life, with its four divisions - childhood, youth, manhood and old age. Everything is bound together in a circle of life and love, without beginning, without end.

Zia Sun
My wife and me decided to get "twin tattoos" of this very meaningful symbol, the "Zia Sun" - we love it (and yes, we loved New Mexico as well!)

Bazz's Zia
Bazz, a co-worker of mine at KOB-TV (Chief Photographer), says he got inked with his Zia about ten years ago in Albuquerque. Bazz is also a walking encyclopedia of New Mexican food. If there is anyone in town that has a good taste for New Mexican food---it's Bazz. He knows where all the good hole-in-the-wall places can be found.

I got a new tattoo while in Albuquerque. I wanted something to represent my life in New Mexico. I was born and raised there. I decided on the Zia symbol.
